The Easiest Way to Add Google Author Markup to Your Website

Yoast just updated his latest version of WordPress SEO plugin and it includes a new function to add author markup to a page so your Google profile (and most likely your face) can show up in Google’s search results.

It makes it much easier to implement author markup than previous methods that I’ve seen.

It adds rel=”author” in the head of your WordPress posts, so all you have to do is go to /wp-admin/profile.php in your WordPress dashboard and make sure you have your Google+ profile link filled out.

Make sure the user has filled out his/her Google+ profile link on their profile page.

Then if you also want the home page to include this information, you can do so by navigating here:

This is a great addition the the WordPress SEO plugin – AND – the easiest way that I know of to start showing up in Google’s search results with that Google+ thumbnail next to the snippet.
